Published on 15th March 2023
  • The forth biannual report on Experience Works, a programme for young people not in work, education or training, has been published.
  • The Experience Works partnership is continuing to have an impact across Devon on young people, employers, support services, communities, and delivery partners.
  • Participant numbers are increasing, and with almost 40% of the total starting during this period, and the number of young people exiting into employment or training is ahead of predictions at 64%.
  • 167 young people are now active in the project, with 53 participants having completed.

The forth of six biannual reports on Experience Works, a project to help 15 – 24 year olds who are not in employment, education or training, (NEET) has now been published, covering the 6 months of delivery from April 2022 – September 2022.

All the participants on Experience Works face barriers to getting work, for example geographical remoteness, lack of qualifications, disability and mental health issues. This project equips them with skills for life and work, giving them the confidence to find a path to a brighter future.

Experience Works is managed by Petroc and is delivered by a partnership of organisations with a wide range of expertise and experience in working with young people across the South West. It is funded by the European Social Fund.
