After completing a Masters in Human Rights, Becky gained a place on the Charityworks Graduate Programme and began her career working for a national learning disability charity. She then worked for an international meningitis advocacy group before moving into a communications role in NHS commissioning. At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Becky moved to Devon and began working at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Here, she led the Trust’s communications response to the pandemic, was a part of the team that built and opened the NHS Nightingale Hospital Exeter for both COVID-19 care and elective recovery, and coordinated the Trust’s communications approach to industrial action. She currently works at WithYou, a national drug and alcohol recovery and treatment charity, as their Head of Marketing and Communications for the West of England.
