A new kitchen was installed at Smeatharpe Village Hall in March 2013 with the help of grants from Viridor's Land Fill Tax Fund and Upottery Parish Council. The kitchen boasts stainless steel units and tables, as well as a large cooking range with two independent ovens. A gas water heater provides a continuous supply of hot water to the double sinks for the benefit of those on washing-up duties. Crockery and cutlery for around 80 people are available.
The main hall has a sectional stage with a generous amount of tables and chairs to seat the halls capacity. An electric organ is also available for use. Works have been carried out to improve the disabled access widening the entrance and exit doors, providing ramps and a specially equipped toilet.
Situated in a rural area with an integral car park, the hall is ideal for private parties and other functions.
