Have your say on special care dentistry

Published on 2nd September 2019

Do you or someone you care for use NHS special care dental services in the South West?

If you, or someone you care for or support, use special care dental services in the South West then NHS England and NHS Improvement (NHSE and NHSI) would like to hear from you. The views of patients, potential patients, parents, carers and advocates will be collated and help shape future developments of special care dental services in the region.

Special care dental services focus on improving the oral health of people who have a health condition or have circumstances which prevents them from using a high street dentist. It is these people that the NHS would like feedback from about their awareness and experience of using these services.

NHSE and NHSI are working in partnership with local Healthwatch in Devon to capture the views of those using the services or are eligible to do so.

Please take a few minutes to complete the survey here https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/M3F67QP

The survey will close on 4th October 2019, after which the findings will be analysed and published by NHSE and NHSI.

•  People with learning difficulties and/or autism

•  People with physical disabilities

•  People experiencing dementia

•  Patients who need bariatric equipment
