Our Autumn Forum features a practical desktop exercise which will help you to test your existing Community Emergency Plan, revise an old plan or develop a new one from scratch. Bring your plan, if you have one, there will be an exclusive opportunity to test your existing Emergency Plan or begin to design a new one for your community if you don't have one in place - remember it is not just about flooding, would you know what to do in a blackout, for example?
On hand to advise will be representatives from the National Grid, BT, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, East Devon District Council, Environment Agency, Emergency Planning Partnership and other local authority resilience and emergency planning teams. They will also be on hand to guide you through the exercise.
The forum is for anyone interested in community resilience. This includes town and parish councils, voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations, and community groups.
The event is FREE and a light lunch is provided.
