Working Towards Net Zero - How You Can Lower Your Carbon Footprint and Reduce Your Energy Costs - East Devon Bitesize Session

Course Category: DCT Webinars, East Devon VCSE Support, Social and Community Enterprise, Community Development, Community Resilience

Bitesize sessions include a short talk by guest speakers, on a range of topics as well providing a chance for VCSE groups across East Devon to come together and share challenges, solutions and support each other.

  • Are you unclear what net zero means?
  • Do you need some ideas on how you can reduce your carbon impact and become more sustainable?
  • Are you looking for ways of reducing your energy costs?

You will leave this bitesize session with a greater understanding of what net zero means and what we can do at a local level to begin that journey.

What will the training include?

The session will include guest speaker Daniel Wynn, Manager for East Devon National Landscape (EDNL). Their presentation will focus on the definition of net zero, the steps required to achieve it, the complexities of moving towards it but importantly, what we can do at a local level to begin that journey.

Other speakers will talk about how they are reducing their energy usage and ways of becoming more sustainable.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions and networking.

We are running these sessions to provide space for the sector to share its collective expertise, to network and for participants to return to their organisation with something helpful.
