#VillageHallsWeek is returning in 2024 to celebrate everything village halls can do to ‘go green.'
This year, Village Halls Week will look at how buildings can be made more energy efficient, and how management committees can support sustainable and environmentally friendly behaviours in their community.
During the week we will be encouraging as many halls as possible to hold their own events, share their stories and get inspiration from others.
ACRE will be publishing some energy efficiency design guidance produced by stagg architects which will feature examples of best practice from across England.

Launch Event: Creating a Community Asset Map for Devon
Join the team from Devon Communities Together for an exclusive opportunity to be one of the first to see the BRAND NEW Community Asset Map for Devon and hear about what we learned from our Village Halls Audit project, where we visited 78% of halls all across Devon in just 18 months.
We have created a first-of-its-kind interactive and comprehensive directory of halls across Devon, which will allow users to locate halls and pinpoint certain characteristics and facilities, as well as provide a useful tool for further research and support (including their meeting and events capacities, accessibility, digital connectivity, environmental sustainability, and more).
Tuesday 19th March, 10:30am - 12:30pm - Stokeinteignhead Village Hall Pop up Community Café and hub
Devon Communities Together will be visiting Stokeinteignhead Village Hall for their weekly pop up community cafe and hub as we are celebrating Village Halls Week 2024!
Wednesday 20th March - Slapton Village Hall, Slapton, TQ7 2QZ - Slapton Village Hall invite South Hams Village Halls to their coffee morning
From 10am: come along for coffee & cake, have a look around the Hall, and meet representatives of Hall users from a wide variety of local groups.
From 12pm: South Hams Village Halls Hub meeting – representatives from any South Hams Village Hall are welcome to attend.
Devon Communities Together will be on hand to facilitate the Hub meeting and answer any Village Hall related enquiries you may have.
Wednesday 20th March, 10:00am - 3:00pm - Go Green in Membury!
Join us for an exclusive event in East Devon, celebrating Village Halls Week 2024! Learn about Sustainable Energy use in Village Halls, meet the East Devon Support Service Team, network with the East Devon Village Hall cluster, and more!
