InShot: make your own video - East Devon Bitesize Sessions

Course Category: East Devon VCSE Support, Voluntary Sector and Governance, Housing, Social and Community Enterprise, Community Buildings, Community Resilience, Business and Marketing

Bitesize sessions include a short talk by guest speakers, on a range of topics as well providing a chance for VCSE groups across East Devon to come together and share challenges, solutions and support each other.

Please note: this session is FREE to any voluntary, community or social enterprise organisation operating in East Devon. This project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

  • Do you see other people's amazing videos online but don't feel confident to do it yourself?
  • Videos can be a fantastic way to tell your story and share your messages, with typically higher levels of engagement online than text and images
  • Having some great video content could make a real difference to your organisation

You'll leave this session feeling confident and inspired to have a go at making your own video!

What will the training include?

During this session, guest speaker Chris Hunt-Watts will teach you how to harness the power of your mobile phone to create simple but impactful videos through the free app, InShot.

You will be given a demonstration of the app in action and then assisted in getting hands on to create your first demo video.

To take part in the practical section of the session, you will need a smartphone. Although InShot will work on most Apple and Android phones, we cannot guarantee your device will be able to run it.

*Please note that this training is in no way endorsed by InShot.

The session will then open up for a chance to ask questions, network and share with the group.

If you would like a certain question or theme to be raised, please state this when signing up via Eventbrite when prompted.

Depending on the amount of requests, we will choose a selection to focus on.

We are running these sessions to provide space for the sector to share its collective expertise, to network and for participants to return to their organisation with something helpful.

If you would like to delve further into a particular area, please visit our Eventbrite page and see our ‘Deep Dive’ trainings and ‘Essentials Bootcamps’
