Yarcombe Jubilee Hall is situated in the Centre of the village, on the eastern parameters of the East Devon District Council area near the Somerset Border, in the picturesque Yarty Valley, on the Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with easy access from the A30 and nearby A303. Located midway between the market towns of Chard and Honiton.
Built in the 1930's, the Hall is architecturally of its period. It has a light and spacious feel which helps to make it the ideal space to be enjoyed in a variety of ways and suitable to hold various occasions.

Car Park
The Hall is surrounded by its own spacious car park, a great benefit, providing plenty of off-road parking, which includes allocated disabled parking.

Hall
The main entrance has a small porch, with double width access into the spacious entrance foyer (3m x 3m) which leads to the main Hall with a splendid suspended wooden floor (15 .75m x 6.50 m) with an additional carpet area (2.95m x 5.80m). Acoustic clouds ensure wonderful sounds throughout the Hall and the metal beams enable easy hanging of decorations.

Capacity
Our Premises Licence allows for a maximum of 190 people standing and has facilities to cater for up to 100 seated for events dependent on layout and configuration of chairs and/ or tables. We also have a PPL PRS license allowing music to be played and a MPLC Umbrella License allowing films to be shown. To serve alcohol a TEN's (Temporary Events Notice) has to be applied for by the Hirer from East Devon District Council.

Kitchen
The spacious main kitchen (12m x 3m), with two access points from the main Hall and a serving hatch, also has additional external access making it very practical for commercial/outside caterers. With plenty of food preparing area, it is well equipped and has facilities to cater for every occasion which include a range cooker, two catering size warming ovens, a commercial dishwasher with a 3-minute cycle, fridge, freezer, microwave and electric water boiler. With the bonus of an additional small kitchen also with a serving hatch, which can be used as a bar or for preparing and serving light refreshment. There is enough crockery, cutlery and glasses to cater for the allowed capacity. All included in the hiring charge.

Wifi
The Hall has access to FREE Wi-Fi. Select the Yarcombe Hall option. No password required.
Projector
The Hall is equipped with a Panasonic 5000 Lumen Full Laser HD projector, which projects to an electronically operated three-meter screen. A laptop can be connected using the HDMI cable provided. Basic written instructions for operating the system are supplied. The Hall has a (Motion Picture Licence Company) which enables films listed to be shown on the premises. It is the Hirers responsibility to ensure the film shown is age appropriate for the audience and the MPLC licence and Premises Licence is a not breached at any time.
Please ensure you inform the booking clerk if you require this system when booking.

Stage
Stage blocks give the flexibility to have a stage to suit your requirements. These are easily moved on the storage trolleys and quick to assemble and dismantle with a practical and simple slot together system.

Storeroom
The large storeroom easily accessed from the main Hall and entrance foyer, contains ample facilities including five chairs with arm rests, ninety-six plastic padded chairs, and also an assortment of tables of various sizes. Additional notice/ display boards also available.

Accessibility
The front entrance enables disabled access. The one level layout ensures easy access to all areas and facilities. Toilet facilities include a disabled toilet with additional baby changing facilities and electric hand driers.

Inflatables
The Hall's Insurance policy covers Inflatables, provided they are assembled within the building, supplied by a third party and written instructions are displayed throughout the hire period.
Despite the Hall being an older building, we are endeavoring to make it an accessible, modern, pleasant and functional space for everyone to enjoy.

Hire Charges

Yarcombe Jubilee Hall Hire charges include utility costs and access to all Hall equipment and facilities unless stated otherwise.
£11.00 per Hour Hire Charge
£7.50 per Hour Hire Charge - limited to beverages only.
Full Day Election Hire - £210
- Unless otherwise agreed, set-up, clear away and clean-up to be included within the allocated session time. Times allocated to nearest 30 minutes.
- A small charge of £5/hour for preparing the Hall the evening before will occur, this is subject to availability when booking.
- The projector sound/ audio equipment installed in the Hall is available for use at the discretion of the Hall Management Committee. Application should be made when the Hall is hired.
- A discount at the discretion of the Hall Management Committee is available for regular weekly/monthly hall users.
- All length bookings are considered. Rates are negotiable, please contact the Booking Clerk.

Hire Charges are reviewed annually after the Hall AGM
To Hire the Hall you will be asked to sign a Conditions of Hire to confirm you have read and understood the requirements. Please note :Yarcombe Jubilee Hall Trustees reserve the right to refuse any request to book the Hall.
