As with our previous monthly meeting in September, we were again delighted to welcome another high profile commissioning manager, working for RD&E NHS Trust. Adel Jones, gave a detailed talk about how commissioning priorities work within our local NHS Trust in Exeter. Not only did she answer all the questions posed by those members present, but she also patiently listened to a member who has issues around caring responsibilities, and offered to have a one to one talk with her at a later date, to access what practical assistance she could offer. Chair, Carole Towler, warmly thanked Ms Jones and invited her to stay for some light refreshments before returning to Exeter. Next month, we are joined by another NHS manager who will be talking about the commissioning of Mental Health Services for the over 50s. We are very fortunate to have such high quality speakers at our meetings and Carole Towler, urges as many members as possible to attend the meeting. The meeting will take place on Wednesday November 14th at our new venue: The Resident’s Lounge, Clifford Gardens (Housing and Care 21), Jockey Hill, between 2pm and 4pm. All are welcome and there will be light refreshments available. Entrance is free, but donations towards room hire etc. would be gratefully received. For further information, please call Carole Towler on 01392 851600.
