The 2023 Wild About Devon Awards are open! Wild About Devon is a community grant scheme that aims to address the ecological emergency by supporting wildlife-focused community initiatives in Devon, and has just been extended to the end of December for new applications.
There have been a lot of efforts to preserve Devon’s wildlife, from setting up community gardens to restoring neglected habitats. Therefore, the awards have opened up to acknowledge those who have made outstanding contributions to Devon, from community groups to charitable individuals.
Therefore, we would like you to nominate your local wildlife heroes, whether that’s a group, an individual, or yourself. Judges will select winners based on the work they’ve done to improve the wildlife value of an area as well as the social benefit it has had for the surrounding community.
There are four award categories:
- Wildlife Community of the Year
- Wildlife Parish and Town Council of the Year
- Wildlife School of the Year
- Outstanding Individual
To submit a nomination, fill out the form here by August 31st:
