Are you a Ruby Country beef farmer or beef farm worker? Are you part of the Ruby Country beef supply chain? Do you provide services to the sector and or have an interest in the Ruby Country farmed environment?
If so, we would very much like you to form part of a local Beef Farming Forum being convened by a partnership of research organisations and Ruby Country community groups. The aim of the Forum is to explore current research relating to key aspects of net-zero and to discuss how this could be applied to the Ruby Country beef sector to help it transition to net-zero GHG emissions.
The Forum will meet online using Zoom, 6 times over 6 weeks, between mid-April and late-May 2021. The total time commitment is approx. 16 hrs for which participants will receive an honorarium of £300. No prior experience of using Zoom is required as training will be available to all participants from Devon Communities Together.
Outputs from the Forum process will be shared with the Devon Citizen’s Assembly, help inform future research in aspects of net-zero and highlight where additional support is required to ease the transition to net-zero production.
