Rural Lens

bright green glasses looking out over countrysideWhat do you see when you look through a rural lens?

Rural communities face persistent and often hidden inequalities — for example, access to healthcare, transport, housing, digital connectivity, employment, and services. These realities can be misunderstood or overlooked when compared to urban challenges. There are also fantastic things going on in our rural and coastal communities like inspiring community projects, wonderful Village Halls, and invaluable volunteers. Our Rural Lens campaign is here to put all things rural - great, challenging and everything inbetween - into focus, shining a spotlight on rural life in Devon.

Devon Communities Together is inviting YOU to put on your rural lenses (aka the bright green glasses!) and tell us what you see.

How can you get involved?

If you see one of our team members out and about in the community, chances are they will have a pair of green glasses for you to wear so you can tell us what you see through the rural lens. They can audio record if you'd prefer to remain anonymous.

You could also email us with your thoughts in writing at marketing@devoncommunities.org.uk. You could include a photo and name, or it could be anonymous - it's totally up to you. The important thing is that people hear your experience.
