The premises comprises a purpose-built village hall of cavity brick/block construction part rendered externally under flat and pitched roofs mostly finished with asbestos cement slate that we understand was built in 1936.
The accommodation comprises an entrance hall with toilets, main meeting hall with kitchen and dining area to the left with various stores accessed from the main hall with further accommodation and toilets beyond the stage area. Behind the stage there are two 'green rooms' with toilets and basins. Access across the stage and down 5 steps. There are no other stairs in the building. There is a very gentle concrete slope from the carpark to the front door of the hall so access for wheelchairs or buggies. The hall is a single storey building and the main hall has a sprung wooden floor. Fairly modern kitchen with 100 piece crockery available and usual kitchen equipment, electric range with 2 ovens. No dishwasher yet but on the way.
Externally the building is approached over a large, gravelled car park from South Street (TA21 0PF) with rear pedestrian access from Frog Lane (TA21 0PG) to the south. There are large grassy areas either side of the carpark available for seating, children playing, setting up stalls. At the rear of the hall an all-weather play area has now been completed which is available for children or adult events.
Mains water, electricity and drainage are connected but there is no mains gas and the central heating is supplied by an oil fired boiler located in the external boiler house.
The main frontage to the premises has a general orientation to the north west.
