Lamerton Sports & Community Centre

The new Centre was opened in 2007 and is set against a backdrop of beautiful countryside with views to Dartmoor, making it an ideal venue for family and business functions. It is a modern architect designed multi-purpose building maintaining the charm of a traditional village hall. Its location just 3 miles NW of the historic town of Tavistock makes it well placed for a variety of activities including club, society, village and wedding and other family functions, as well as being available for business meetings.

The building complies with all the latest regulations making it user friendly for all age groups. Particular care has been taken to ensure disabled users have level access throughout the centre, with purpose-built toilets.

There is a main hall, a meeting room, a consulting room, a fully fitted kitchen and, of course, ladies, gents and disabled lavatories. There are also changing rooms and the building is heated by very efficient underfloor heating. A removable stage with stage lighting has recently been made available.

Outside the hall, there is a children's playground which has recently been refurbished with many new pieces of equipment. The Recreation Field is available for hire for sporting activities.

We also have several marquees of different sizes which are available for hire on site.
