David Fursdon, HM Lord Lieutenant of Devon

David became Lord Lieutenant of Devon in 2015. He and his family have lived in Devon for over 40 years. His career has involved jobs in the Army, the Civil Service, teaching, rural surveying and farming. His  public roles include or have included Crown Estate Commissioner; English Heritage Commissioner; Affordable Rural Housing Commissioner, Food, Farming and Countryside Commissioner; Parish Chairman; National Trust Trustee; SW Rural Productivity Commission Chair and Board member of the SW Regional Development Agency.
