Trainee Rural Officer
Salary: £18,870 to £20,541 (SCP 7-11) per annum + benefits (pension, flexi-time, Employee Assist Programme 25 days paid holiday)
Hours: 36.25 hours per week

The role of Trainee Rural Officer is intended to be an adaptable, varied and changeable developmental role. The jobholder will be provided with training and on the job experience to gain skills and expertise in Rural Community work to enable further progression within the organisation.
The role supports Project Managers and Community Project Officers in the effective delivery of specific activities and pieces of project work enabling Devon Communities Together to deliver its social objectives for the benefit of the people & communities of Devon.
You should have; a strong concern for communities and the issues they face, good communications skills with the ability to relate well to a wide range of people, the ability to manage information and write well-constructed reports. You will have good IT skills and a willingness to travel around Devon and work some unsocial hours.
