This project is funded by East Devon District Council. We are here to support VCSE (voluntary, community and social enterprise) organisations in East Devon to achieve their purpose.

Whether you are a well established charity or community group, or just starting out with a new idea, if you support people and communities across East Devon, this service is for you!
Our team can support you if you're looking to start up, grow, diversify or simply maintain what you are already delivering.
what can we offer?
You can benefit from fully funded advice, support and training for the whole sector in areas such as governance, funding, volunteer recruitment,financial sustainability and connecting and partnering.
Training and workshops
We offer a wide range of free training and workshop opportunities for East Devon VCSE organisations. We are also excited to be able to offer Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise organisations based in or serving East Devon Communities fully funded places on our Devon Community Learning programme.
We can offer bespoke sessions for your community or organisation, so if there is a topic you would like us to cover or included, please email us with your ideas and suggestions.

Support surgeries
Our Support Surgeries are the perfect opportunity to talk through the challenges and goals of your organisation with a member of the East Devon team from Devon Communities Together. We can help you with topics such as business planning, management, volunteer recruitment, financial sustainability and connecting and partnering.
You can book a dedicated slot with one of the team and take the time to discuss your queries on a 1:1 basis. All sessions are an hour long, between 10am and 1pm. Dates and locations for upcoming surgeries are as follows:
- 6th October - Sidmouth
- 17th November - Axminster
- 15th December - Online

Networking & PEER Support
We can help organisations across the East Devon district to connect with and learn from each other, and can help co-ordinate multi-organisational responses to important issues.
We run peer support groups for volunteer managers and safeguarding leads. Please email us to join these bi-monthly groups.
Devon Connect
Devon Connect is an online platform for communities across Devon where you can share or find information about activities, events, volunteering opportunities and other community conversations.
The East Devon VCSE support service moderate the East Devon Connect page. This platform is your community hub for East Devon. Here you can make connections, share information, share and search for volunteering opportunities and access activities within your local community.
