Dawn Eckhart

Since graduating with an Environmental Science Honours degree in 1983 I have worked in a variety of settings from inner city London to remote countryside, mostly in the charity sector but with occasional sojourns into the public sector.  

My  work roles have mostly been as a development advisor and project manager in the fields of environmental conservation, community engagement and rural regeneration. 

I joined the team at Devon Communities Together in 2004 and have been lucky enough to be able to pursue my passion for social enterprise promotion and support.  I became a SFEDI accredited business adviser in 2008 and a member of DCTs Senior Management Team in 2012.  My current role for DCT includes managing and delivering our Catalyst consultancy service and as such I am committed to ensuring provision of an excellent service in terms of contract compliance, partnership approach, outcome orientation and quality of delivery / customer satisfaction.  
I am at a stage in my career where I feel confident that I can offer a real wealth of experience, broad technical knowledge and a positive solution focussed approach to the communities and social enterprises I work with.

I am passionate about contributing towards sustaining the future quality of life for the communities and the other species that we share our wonderful environment with. 


I was born and bred here and returned here in middle age – there is nowhere like it for access to beautiful countryside, amazing coastline and friendly welcoming people.
