Rosie has a background in visual art and education. She has been a practicing visual artist for over a decade, with a lively studio practice, initially in Somerset, but now in Devon. She has also been an active participant in regional, national and international projects and exhibitions. In addition to this she is an experienced leader of creative sessions, mainly working with children, young adults and families. Within this capacity she has worked with regional leaders in the Arts and Culture sector, including Exeter Phoenix, Royal William Yard and Port Eliot Festival.
Her ambition is to run workshops with a focus on healing through intuitive mark making and meditative immersion.
In addition to her work as an artist and art facilitator, she has a background in Arts administration, co-ordinating a regional animation festival and a city wide open studio event. She has also been a freelance administrator working with clients such as Exeter University, The Forestry Commission, the Environment Agency, and Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Authority.
I Love Devon Because...
It is a blank canvas. A glorious landscape, where you can choose what lifestyle you want. You have to snout out good cultural stuff happening, but it is there, with film festivals, record labels, pop up food events, and international art festivals all happening if you know where to look. My greatest cultural experience here has been watching Wildworks at Devonport Dockyard.
