John Lee OBE

John has lived and farmed at Shobrooke, near Crediton all his life and is involved in a number of agricultural and rural organisations at a local and national level, including; chairman of Mole Avon Trading Ltd, president of Devon Communities Together, patron of the Devon and Cornwall Police Cadets, patron of Local Heroes, vice chairman of the South West Lakes Trust, board chairman of Devon County Agricultural Association, board member of the Farmers Club, chairman of Westpoint Devon Ltd, chairman of Rural Youth Trust and a trustee of NFYFC and of number of other charities as well as being a parish councillor.

He is a former chairman of the Young Farmers Clubs at club, Devon and national level and the only English President of the 1million members of the European Organisation. He previously chaired the DEFRA Sustainable Farming and Food Strategy and currently hears DEFRA and RPA appeals on behalf of the minister. He was the founder chairman of FACE and Farmwise education charities and was High Sheriff of Devon in 2013/14.

John is a current Deputy Lieutenant for the county of Devon.
