I was brought up in Teignbridge, attending Bovey Tracey Primary School and South Dartmoor Secondary, before going to Exeter College. 11 years ago I moved to Exeter to train to be a Geography teacher. After finishing my PGCE I ended up getting a job in the University, working in a variety of different management roles. Community participation is really important to me and I regularly volunteer. I've been a trustee at two charities, an independent member for standards at Exeter City Council and I’m currently active with the Exeter Cycling Campaign.
I started working at the Devon Association of Local Councils in March and was appointed as Parish Clerk for Ideford in May, which complements my work at DALC well. Having been brought up in a rural part of Devon I’m passionate about the issues facing people across the county.
