Constant demands on voluntary and public organisations and the different interests of parish and town councils in Devon for effective and accountable sustained performance is on the increase. To succeed, we have to work together.

At this workshop we expect to work together to answer, in particular, these questions:

  • Who are Stakeholders?
  • What are the challenges of managng stakeholder relationships?
  • What are the benefits of managing stakeholder relationships?
  • So what, what if we refuse to manage stakeholder relationships?

This workshop will rely on your active participation to make this a memorable experience for all of us.

In the short time available we will use tools, techniques, frameworks and relevant methodologies to help us find answers to the questions, above and any other questions you may have.

Aims and Objectives

Aim:

We will explore the types and purposes of stakeholder relationships and the skills required to overcome challenges and manage these effectively.

Learning Outcomes:

You are expected to go away with:

  • Understanding of the different types and value of stakeholder relationships
  • Understanding of the frameworks for stakeholder management
  • Knowledge of how to manage stakeholder relationships
  • Knowledge of methods for measuring the impact of stakeholder engagement on organisational performance

Doctor MOJ has worked within and across the private, public and voluntary sectors, national and international contexts (Africa, Europe and USA) over the last 35 years. He is a former Governor in both Secondary and Primary Schools, former Trustee, Treasurer, and Director at Mind and BMECP in Sussex, UK.

Doctor MOJ, a senior member of UK’s Institute of Consulting http://bit.ly/2AQXM0E - FIC - is a seasoned Chartered Manager (2004). In June 2018 the successful CMI Approved Centre for Management and Leadership Development (MLD}, at London Middlesex University, one of the first such CMI centres in the UK, founded by Doctor MOJ, will celebrate its 23 years anniversary. His sessions are influenced by several past experience of delivering similar programmes, for example, at the LSE - London School of Economics & Political Science (MSc Industrial Relations & Personnel Management) and as Residential Tutor, at Robinson College, Cambridge University, for the OUBS MBA Elective, Creativity Innovation and Change.
