Simon Sanger - Anderson

Simon has had a varied and fulfilling career in the legal profession, training and qualifying in private practice in London and becoming a partner in 1982.  He left private practice to spend five years at the Automobile Association (AA) where he was Director of Legal Services and on the board of various AA subsidiaries.

After many years in London, he relocated to Devon in 1995, where he held managing partner roles with Ford Simey and Tozers, as well as becoming a parent governor at the local school, which is an Academy Trust and where he is currently chair.  He became a Non-Executive Board member in 2005 of what was then Devon & Cornwall Housing Association, and in 2007 was appointed to the Board of Westco (the DCH commercial development subsidiary) which he went on to chair for several years.  He is currently on the Board of North Devon Homes where he also chairs its development subsidiary – Anchorwood Ltd.

Simon has been a DCT Trustee for five years, and finds the best thing about his role is the variety of initiatives in which DCT is involved, and working with the hugely varied and talented team of fellow Trustees and DCT staff, who never cease to impress him with their dedication and range of skills.  He enjoys walking with his wife and faithful spaniel, and eating cream teas.  His favourite part of Devon is Dartmoor, over which he and the spaniel have roamed far and wide.
